Catholic Daughters of Americas
The Catholic Daughters of the Americas is one of the oldest and largest Catholic women organizations in the world, and was founded in 1903 by the Knights of Columbus. Our local court, Court Holy Innocents #2446, was chartered in May 1997 with twenty members. Today we number one hundred.
Our Mission Statement is “Catholic Daughters of the Americas strives to embrace the principal of faith through love in the promotion of justice, equality and the advancement of human rights and human dignity for all.” Our Patroness is Mary in Her Immaculate Conception.
At a time when so many diverse voices are speaking for women, membership in the Catholic Daughters of the Americas provides a strong united voice for women who feel that their sense of family and morality are not being articulated. Each member shares in the good works of the entire organization with little effort on the part of one individual. The spiritual life of members is enhanced through the various spiritual and charitable activities of CDA. Catholic Daughter women enjoy each other’s company at meetings and work hard for their parishes and communities.
We donate to charities, administer scholarship programs and strive “to be helping hands where there is pain, poverty, sorrow or sickness.”

Hijas Católicas de las Américas
Las Hijas Católicas de las Américas es una de las mas antiguas y grandes organizaciones Católicas de mujeres en el mundo, fundada en 1903 por los Caballeros de Colón. Nuestra corte local, Corte de los Santos Inocentes #2446, se estableció en Mayo de 1997 con veinte miembros. Hoy cuenta con cien miembros.
Nuestro lema “Las Hijas Católicas de las Amércias buscan alcanzar el principio de fé a través del amor, promoción de la justicia, igualdad y desarrollo de los derechos humanos y dignidad para todos.” Nuestra Patrona es Maria en su Inmaculada Concepción.
En el tiempo en el que muchas voces hablan por las mujeres, la membresía en las Hijas Católicas de las Américas provee una voz, fuerte y unida de mujeres que sienten que el sentido de la familia y moralidad no están articulados. Cada miembro comparte el buen trabajo de la organización con un pequeño esfuerzo individual. La vida spiritual de los miembros se enriquece a través de varias actividades espirituales y caritativas. Las Hijas Católicas disfrutan de la compañia de unas y otras en las juntas y trabajo arduo para sus parroquias y comunidades.
Hacen donaciones a agencias caritativas, administran programas escolares y buscan “brindar la mano en donde hay dolor, pobreza, problemas o enfermendad.”
