The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults and adapted for Children is more commonly known as RCIA.  The RCIA Team at Holy Innocents is comprised of lay-catechist parishioners who dedicate themselves to the formation and full initiation of all who have a desire to enter into an intimate union with Christ and His Church by becoming a fully-initiated Roman Catholic.  RCIA also ministers to those who are inquiring about the Catholic Church and what she teaches and believes.

This comprehensive formation includes more than just instruction.  It is an apprenticeship of the entire Christian life which promotes an authentic following of Christ.  The RCIA Team walks with each and every participant during their journey to full initiation and guides them through each of the Church's rites and ceremonies leading up to Easter Vigil and beyond.

As part of the journey, there are Catechetical sessions held every Sunday morning at 9:00 am to 11:00 am in English (which includes the 10:00 Mass), and Tuesday evenings from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in Spanish. Sessions are held in the months from September through Pentecost. Classroom sessions include a study of scripture and a topical discussion on Church Donctrine and Tradition, as well as faith-sharing.

La iniciación del Rito del Cristianismo para adultos es más bien conocida como RCIA. El equipo de RCIA de Santos Inocentes, se compone de feligreses laicos catequistas que se dedican a la formación e iniciación completa de todos los que tienen el deseo de entrar en una unión intima con Cristo y Su Iglesia al convertirse completamente en un Católico Romano. RCIA también provee información a aquellos que tienen preguntas acerca de las enseñanzas y creencias de la Iglesia Católica. 

Esta formación detallada incluye más que una instrucción. Es un aprendizaje completo de la vida Cristiana promoviendo un seguimiento autentico de Cristo. El equipo de RCIA camina con cada participante uno a uno durante su jornada hacia su iniciación completa y los guía por cada rito y ceremonia de la iglesia hasta el día de vigilia y mas allá.

Como parte de su jornada, hay sesiones Catequistas cada martes por la tarde entre los meses de Septiembre hasta el día de Pentecostés. Las sesiones son de las 7:00 p.m. a las 9:00p.m. en el salón de Pedro y Pablo donde estudiamos la escritura y discutimos temas sobre la Doctrina y Tradición de la Iglesia, al igual que compartimos nuestra fe.
